If you have managed to spare some days for yourself from the hectic schedule of your life and you intend to spend some good time times with your friends or family then it could be said in this respect that you could give the country of India, a thought as it has so much to offer to the tourists as far as sightseeing, shopping, dining and recreational activities are concerned.

However it is important to note that before you book your tickets to this place, you are required to know about the Climate of India as then only you would be able to decide on the best time for you visit or could decide on the season, which you feel would allow you to enjoy your vacation in the best possible manner.

As far as the Climate of India is concerned it could also be said that the country of India experiences a variety of climatic conditions and it is also important to note here that India is also the home to variety of climatic regions that ranges from the tropical in the south to the temperate and the Alpine in the Himalayan north and it could be said here in this respect that the elevated regions of India receive winter snowfall that sustains for a certain period of time.

The climate of India is heavily influenced by the Himalayas and the Thar Desert and it is essential to state here that the Hindukush Mountains of Pakistan (a republic in South Asia) as well as the Himalayas does not allow the cold central Asian katabatic winds to affect the climate of India and thus it helps the subcontinent of India to experience a warm climate. The role played by the Thar Desert is that it draws in the southwest summer monsoon winds that are moisture laden and this occurs in the months of June and October and these are the months of heavy rainfall as far as India is concerned.

The four major climatic seasons that dominate India are the tropical wet, the tropical dry, the montane and the subtropical humid.

The four official seasons of India as designated by the, Meteorological Department are the Summer or Pre Monsoon (March to June), Monsoon (June to September), Post Monsoon (October to December) and Winter (January to March).
